I just found out that City View School (Wichita Falls, Texas) is now providing early training for those who want to be Correctional Officers at the James V. Allred Unit. At this time, the training focuses on only one aspect of being a Correctional Officer at Allred, and that is the "Highway Gate" position. It's one of my favorite positions and I'm happy to see such an interest in it. I've attached a photo of the City View Highway Gate Training Facility.
